The images of the Taj Mahal that generate awe cannot be felt through pictures. You must come and sit quietly and reflect in the peace, serenity and tribute to love that was built by this mogel king.
About this blog
These pictures are an inadequate view of an overpowering structure. The gardens are also serene and perfect the images. It took over 20,000 laborers 22 years to complete this burial site in the 1600's. The beauty of the white marble and hand crafted, inset semi-precious stones all lend to the incredible image.
We arrived by horse chart, which is mandatory, that or walking, to reduce pollution to the structure. This after rising at 4:30am to catch our train. The story of how I acquired the wrong guide and made off from the station will have to wait.
The "Baby Taj" is equally impressive and we were deluged with renegade monkeys everywhere!
