The Road beckons and I'm off again. Taking off on another one of my dream archaeological journeys: Egypt! The program is offered through Road Scholar. I chose this program since it goes beyond the Nile to visit the ancient ruins in the Oasis of the Western Desert and includes a camel ride.

Of course, we'll also see the pyramids near Cairo, the Valley of the Kings at Luxor, a 4-day sail down the Nile to Aswan and the Temple of Philae, then fly to Abu Simbel to see the Temple of Ramses. I've also added a pre-trip day tour of Alexandria.

All together, it's a 3 week trip. Am I excited! Am I nervous? Have I forgotten anything? Have I packed too much! The petsitter is prepped, out of office messages set....here we go!
