About this blog

My son, Nikolas,, who will be 12 years old in June 2009 and I will be embarking on our one year journey around the world. We plan on volunteering at orphanages, learning a few languages, learn some new soccer moves and dance moves (well, I will try), and learning alot about each other! My goal is to recharge my batteries and renew my enthusiasm for life. I want us both to come back and appreciate all the things we have and how lucky we are to live in the beautiful Bahamas.

Our tenative route is Peru, Argentina, Phoenix and Las Vegas, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, (maybe Cambodia and Vietnam), India, UAE, Oman, Yemen, (maybe Kenya and Tanzania or South Africa), Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey. We will then end our trip in Italy for a wedding and then hopefully do a stopover of so many invites in Denmark, Sweden and Chester, UK.
