About this blog

I went out to meet Tony (my captain and partner)onboard the sailing yacht 'Windstrutter',in December (2008), in San Diego, to make our initial passage down to the Sea of Cortez. A place of many wonders that Jacques Cousteau himself called , 'The world's aquarium'. In 1946,John Steinbeck wrote, 'Log from the Sea of Cortez' and spent some time discovering and analysing the marine life.He was also overwhelmed by the hospitality of the people. We've sailed alongside the migratory Grey whale, which travels 12,000 miles from Alaska down to Baja California, in order to breed in the warmer Pacific lagoons. We are now preparing for more adventures in this fifth year (2013) ,with friends and guests who wish to share our wonder of this chimerical place. we may move on or be further spellbound to linger... Keep watching this space!
