About this blog

It was time for change, time to do something different. We decided it was time to leave the comfort of our jobs and apartment in Chicago to see the world first hand before kids, a mortgage, or something else prevented us to do so. With only our backpacks and a one-way plane ticket to Peru, we set off on a true journey of a lifetime. This blog reveals our year of world travel from start to finish. Throughout six of the seven continents, the numerous cultures, the multiple jobs we picked up along the way, the friends we made, the places we stayed (or camped), and even "Miles" the car we bought while in New Zealand. It's all here and we hope this blog, through the pictures and stories, can start to give you just a sliver of the unforgettable experiences we had along the way.
