Saturday, horseback through the Tuscan Countryside
About this blog
Saturday was the most awesome adventure ever. Lori, Mallory and I took a horseback tour of the Tuscan countryside. It was amazing. Unfortuntely, I cannot post any of the pics as Lori's Mac is not playing nice with my HP camera. So, check out my facebook for pics after I arrive back in the states this weekend. The Tuscan countryside was amazing, straight out of "Under the Tuscan Sun", it really is that gorgeous. We took a long, slow relaxing 4 hour saunter through the hills, on the back of gorgeous horses through the vineyards, and amazing acreage, just a small group of us. We walked through the Chianti vineyards, the very place wear Chianti wine comes from. If you ever have a bottle of Chianti wine bottled and imported from Italy, then I saw and walked through the exact vineyard that your grapes and wine came from. The grapes were very small and will not be ready until August. This was so special to me because Chianti wine is my favorite, and to see where it comes from was amazing. We also watched how olive oil was made. Now we can see why extra virgin olive oil is so expensive, it is a timely process and takes so many olives and olives trees to make just a small amount of olive oil. NO condiments here, so it's my personal heaven. You will not find any mustard of ketchup here!!! On the tables, oil olive and vinegar only! Can't wait to share my pics!
Take care, Ciao!
