My travels will take me to Costa Rica and Panama.

I'm on the board of directors at an organization here in Chicago called Working Bikes. We ship donated bicycles to communities in Africa and Latin America in order to empower individual and economic progress and freedom. I'll be visiting our partner, Industrias de Buena Voluntad (Goodwill Panama) and our new partner FINCA Costa Rica. In March I'll get to witness the arrival of our first shipment of bikes to Costa Rica!

I'll also be doing some farming at an organic farm in Cuidad Colon, Costa Rica.

My budget travel mates for month of February will be Michael Bush, one of the fantastic mechanics at Working Bikes and my friend Natalia. My boyfriend Chris and I will be reunited in Costa Rica at the beginning of March after a difficult 4 weeks apart. Tropical luxury will ensue in paradise! From there I'll be spending 3 1/2 weeks on a beautiful organic farm. Then home again home again!

Shortly after my return I'll be visiting Bikes for the World, our friends in D.C. that partner with us to ship bikes to Latin America.
