Reflections on my year studying law in the city of Amsterdam.

Like most international students, when sharing my decision to study in this famous city with friends/family/acquaintances, the responses usually fall into 2 categories:

1) "Wow that is going to be awesome, all those drugs, all those hookers, fantastic nightlife, I'm so jealous!" 2) "Amsterdam? Good luck trying to learn ANYTHING there!"

Example number 2 reveals, the rationale behind the title of this blog. By writing this, I hope to reflect on my own experiences and give a true account of what living and studying in Amsterdam is like.
