hi everyone, welcome to my adventures in South Africa! the start of my sabbatical will be in Kruger National Park where i hope to see the big 5 as i work through my jet lag.

then i'm off to spend 2 weeks in Makalali Game Reserve volunteering with elephant and lion contraception as well as leopard monitoring projects.

after that, i'll be volunteering for 6 weeks with the jackass (aka African) penguin in Cape Town. the work will be much like what i do with the seals but penguins are much more aromatic! did someone say projectile poop?
