Marmoream relinquo quam latericiam accepi- I found Rome a city of brick and left it a city of marble
About this blog
Second trip to Europe - this time to the ancient city of Rome. I love history, and this city is full of it! I can't wait to explore the alleys and cathedrals, or run along the Tiber in the morning. This will be time to myself, my thoughts, and a chance to see another side of life I have never known.
I'm so excited!
A few tips for future travelers to Rome: 1 - get the Roma Pass! It's so convenient and helpful. Buying tickets can be difficult with the language barrier, but the Roma Pass will take care of all that. 2- book a tour when going to the Vatican - it'll save you up to a few hours 3- comfortable shoes are a must - the cobblestones really wear out your feet even if you (like myself) are used to walking 4 - bring cash - lots of places / cabs don't take plastic
