I took a totally spontaneous quick trip to Australia. It was a symbolic (and somewhat expensive!!) reconnection with a part of me I had let slip recently ...my absolute passion for travel. It is in no way ironic that this trip was sparked by reacquanting myself with some long lost friends I met while travelling seven years ago in Nepal. Having lost touch over time, I connected with Joanne who informed me she was getting married and by the way if I'm in the area I am invited! Well where she lives just happens to be at the polar opposite of where I live. I'm in Calgary, Canada, she's in Melbourne Australia! This travel blog is the how and why of not only making it to her wedding, but also of my insights into what travelling means to me. Enjoy
