A brief explanation of why I've chosen to go on this adventure... For a long time now I've wanted to travel to South America, well Uruguay to be exact. That's because my Mum & Dad and all my relatives are Uruguayan. Before this trip I have only met a few of my overseas relatives with many more that I have never met and others that I have only recently discovered exist. Being that Australia is in the arse end of the world it actually works out to be roughly the same price to buy a round the world ticket as a return ticket to Uruguay. So my ticket is to fly to Santiago Chile make my way to Uruguay via Argentina, Madrid, London, Thailand then back to Melbourne.
