Sugar Hotel & Spa is a luxury boutique hotel of international standard, situated in trendy Green Point, adjacent to the V&A Waterfront, the 2010 World Cup Soccer Green Point Stadium and close to some of Cape Town's top restaurants and night clubs. Contemporary, natural finishes in grays, blacks and silvers have been used throughout the hotel with vibrant splashes of red, blue and green to give it a contemporary look and feel with unique detailing in the rooms and public areas of the hotel. The uniqueness of the design and layout has in no way compromised its luxuriousness and comfort, with special attention having been given to guest convenience and practicality. The Sugar Hotel is gay owned and has 7 luxury rooms, all of which are en-suite, one of which being a family room, making it one of very few luxury boutique hotels that accommodate children of all ages. All rooms are carpeted and equipped with LG Artcool air-conditioners, 32 inch LCD flat panel TV's, a DVD/CD sound system with iPod/MP3 connection, satellite television, a completely silent glass front mini-bar fridge, digital safe, tea and coffee station, built-in international plugs, hair driers, cordless telephones and wired as well as wireless internet access. Not to be outdone the bathrooms have under-floor heating, double vanities with glass basins, separate shower and bath and a dedicated filtered water tap for drinking water. The Sugar also provides guests with luxury Charlotte Rhys toiletries including shower gel, hand wash, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner located in all bathrooms. The hotel has recently been taken over with new owners Marc van Rooyen and Riaan Vermaak at the helm. Marc and Riaan boast extensive knowledge of the hotel trade gained in running boutique hotels in Johannesburg and 5-Star private game reserves including the world renowned Singita amongst others. Marc is a celebrated chef in his own right and trained at the world famous Cordon Bleu Chef School; this allows the Sugar kitchen to be highly flexible in catering to any guests special requests. The Sugar serves an A' La Carte breakfast menu every day as well as a light lunch menu and fine dining dinners are available on request. The Sugar also has a two roomed treatment spa with an on-hand therapist ready to pamper our guests with a comprehensive spa menu including 'Top to Toe' massages. The new ethos of the Sugar is to create a home away from home for our guests with exemplary service and hospitality where the staff will aim to do all they can to ensure our guests have a wonderful stay. General amenities at the hotel include a well stocked pool bar serving premium champagnes and whiskeys, an outside swimming pool, 24hr internet access to a concierge service, a small curio and wine shop, wireless internet access throughout the hotel at no cost, triple glazed windows to minimize outside noise and an on-site secure parking area. Airport and other transfers can be arranged at an additional cost in our luxury air-conditioned vehicle.
