Highlights: Badlands National Park, Glacier N P, Banff N P, Jasper N P, Alaska Highway, Kluane N P, Wrangell-St.Elias N P, Kenai Fjords N P, Denali N P, Cassiar Highway, Boya Lake P P, Fish Creek Wildlife Observation Site, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier N P, Yellowstone N P, Grand Teton N P. About 11,600 miles.

Cover: Mt. McKinley in Denali N P. The road to the right in the picture is the only road in the park. Visitors must take a shuttle bus past mile 15 in Denali. I took a bus on two separate days. I'm glad I went back the second day, because THAT day was clear and provided many opportunities to see Mt. McKinley.

One of the pleasant unplanned stops was Boya Lake Provincial Park in northern British Columbia. The clouds over the lake in the evening made for some awesome photo opportunities. I really enjoyed traveling the Cassiar Highway. The scenery is fantastic, but there are few places along the way to buy gas. Traveler beware - get gas frequently!
