The plan is back on track! I was grounded last year due to a foot op, but this year I can escape for three weeks... and I'm going to Cape Town to meet up with friends Gill and Walter who have escaped from the snowy winter landscape of Switzerland to spend two months in Gill's mother country, South Africa. Kath and Bob are also going to join us from London... and there's the thread.... Gill, Kath and I worked together in Singapore....... ummm 30 years ago. We'll be raising a glass to absent friends at some point , no doubt. Once I've recovered from the guilt of depositing Lottie-dog in kennels I'll be off to Birmingham airport on Saturday to board an Emirates flight to cape Town via Dubai. Can't wait!
