We were looking for a bargain skiing holiday, somewhere fairly cheap, with good facilities for beginners and plenty of activities for non-skiers (or those that got the hump with learning after three sessions, and couldn't face another day of snowplough turns). Finnish Lapland seemed to meet all our requirements, but was there a catch?
