Roger and Margi's Cross Country Trip
About this blog
This travel blog is for you to monitor where we are and what we have seen as we go cross country visting every state in the U.S. including Alaska over the next 4 years. Our goal is to visit every national park, monument, historical site, and Presidential Libraries. The first leg of our journey will take us through the mid west.
We started the 2nd leg of our cross country trip on May 5, 2010 and will end on November 1, 2010. We plan to visit TX, NM, CO, UT and AZ on this trip.
We started the 3rd leg of our cross country trip on May 9, 2011 and will end on October 4, 2011. We plan to visit CA, NV, UT, WY, MT, ID, WA, & OR on this trip.
This is the 4th year of our 5 year cross country tour. This year we visit Alaska. For peace of mind, we joined Fantasy Tours, an RV Caravan to guide us on this trip. The 60 day tour begins on July 8th in Coeur d'Alene, ID travels through the Canadian Rockies up to Fairbanks and ends on September 5th in Prince George, British Columbia. There are 24 other rigs, a Wagon Master and Tail Gunner accompanying us on this tour. You can follow us on Fantasy Tour's web site: www.alaskanrvtours.com or on this blog. We also plan to visit Kelowna and Victoria in BC, North Cascades and Olympia National Parks in Washington on this leg. We are leaving Mesa, AZ on June 24th. . Prior to arriving in Coeur d'Alene, we plan to spend 4 days in Grand Canyon National Park, 4 days in Arches National Park, 3 days in Salt Lake City, 1 day at Crater of the Moon in southern Idaho, an overnight stay in Missoula, MT before arriving in Coeur d'Alene on July7th.
This will be our final leg of this cross country trip. We will visit the last 6 states to complete our journey. We will return to New Hampshire after 5 years of traveling throughout the country visiting every National Park and Presidential Museum. We start June 2nd and will end mid September. This has been an experience only one could imagine. Both breathe taking and educational.
We hoped you enjoy this site!
