Sobelldingdong's Great Adventure

About this blog

Bryan and I drove to Bowling Green, KY via Nashville and my favorite store for clothes, CJ Banks on Friday. Saturday morning we stopped in at the National Corvette Museum to purchase raffle tickets before riding the area. We went to Abraham Lincoln's birthplace and had a picnic lunch in the parking lot. The weather was wonderful! Rode most of the day with the sunroof open. Toured the Maker's Mark brewery. They give out passports and you get them stamped at six different breweries, mail your passport in and they will send you a free t-shirt. I think I'd rather have the passport. Sunday morning we were on the 9:30 AM tour of the River Cave Tour. Lots of fun. They said there were only 15 steps...they lied. But I made it anyway! :-) Sunday afternoon we drove on to Asheville, NC. I was craving KFC, so that was dinner. After dinner, Mr. Teague let us tour our favorite subdivision. Monday we learned our way around Asheville some more. Tuesday lunch was eaten at Tupelo Honey Cafe. Food was wonderful! Tuesday night we went to the movies and saw "The American'. Not Clooneyh's best work. But the theater was really interesting. Had very interesting food, plus beer and wine for sale. It was very evident, we weren't in the Bible Belt any longer. At least one of the theaters had couches for patrons instead of theater type seating. Dinner Tuesday night dinner was at Hannah Flannigans. Delicious corned beef and cabbage.
