Sand in our Jandals: Middle East to East Africa

About this blog

Our crazy and wondiferous adventure begins in the sun-soaked (except it's winter) far flung lands of the Middle East. In Jordan, Israel and Egypt we will explore ancient wonders, exotic cuisines and dingy backpackers. We continue to East Africa, where we dodge the hippos to get to Yei, Southern Sudan, to spend a (probably lifechanging) 7 weeks serving the local community. A hop, skip and ultra long bus-journey to Kenya (where do you find lions?), Tanzania (visiting sponser children!) and back to Uganda across Lake Victoria. Finally these kiwi's will fly back home, via a few days in Thailand where we hope to gain our certificate's as Elephant handlers and Thai cooks. Journey with us, check back to this page for our crazy tales!
