Old friends, new places

To me, Memorial Day weekend has always been about friends and family. So when an old friend of mine moved to a city I'd never been to before, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit.
This weekend is being spent in Bourbonnais, Illinois, an hour south of Chicago on Interstate 57. The easiest way to find Bourbonnais on the map is to look for Kankakee. They're basically the same place, though there seems to be an "other side of the railroad tracks" mentality regarding Kankakee.
