The Carribean sun and sand was warm welcome for our whitened, winter-accustomed bodies. We arrived from Paris in St. Maarten, one of many destinations in this tropical paradise of clustered islands. Having a four hour stopover before our onward flight to another island we hightailed it to the nearest beach to wet our toes. A five minute walk from the airport found us soaking up the sun and swimming next to a little beach bar that played Bob Marley and had awesome mango smoothies and beer. Bliss on the beach.
