Jyothirlingams in Maharastra State : Bhimashankar, Trimbakeshwar, Grineshwar, Ajanta and Ellora

In continuation to my jyothirlingam Dharshan, this time I planned to have Dharshan of Lord Bhimashankar, Trimbakeshwar and Grineshwar in Maharastra State.

We left Chennai on 12th Feb 2010 along with 20 members and reached Pune on 13th Feb 2010 at 2330 hrs. Shri Sethuraman, brother in law of Sreeram, Senior Account in Tamil Nadu Circle, received us in Pune Railway station. Two of our team members from Coimbatore had arrived Pune on 13th Feb 2010 at 1000 hrs and their accommodation had been arranged in a Choultry which is exactly opposite to Pune Railway station. Exit and Entry into the Choultry is closed exactly at 2200 hrs and no one is permitted, both for exit and entry after closure.. As such, Shri Sethuraman, took us to Pradosa Pooja Assciation, which is a service motto association where we were given a big hall for stay. We had earlier arranged for 27 seat bus in Wings Travels, Pune. We commenced our travel as follows: Pune -> Bhimashankar -> Shiridi -> Trimbakeshwar -> Girineshwar -> Ajanta -> Ellora -> Pune

Places visited: 14-02-2010 - Pune Guruvayurappan Temple, Shri Subramania Swamy Temple Complex, Murugan Hills, Dehu Road, Pune, and Bhimashankar (Jyothirlingam) Dharshan. After Noon proceeded to Shirdi and stayed at Shirdi 15-02-2010 - Shiridi Shiridi Saibaba - after Kakda Dharshan in the earlier morning proceeded to Trimbakeshwar -> Sonai Renuga Glass Temple, Mukthi Dham, Sani Signapur. And Panchavadi in the evening and reached Trimbakeshwar and stayed 16-02-2010 - Nasik Trimbakeshwar.(Jyothirlingam) Dharshan in the early morning and proceeded to Girineshwar (Jyothirlingam) Near Ellora and stayed there 17-02-2010 - Aurangabad After Grineshwar Dharshan in the early hours, left Ellora to Ajanta and after having seen Ajanta returned back to Ellora and seen Ellora in the evening and returned to accommodation for stay. 18-02-2010 Left Ellora in the early morning and returned back to Pune. Enroute had Dharshan of Shri Khshetra Devgad Sansthan, Ranjan Gav Vinayagar who is considered to be one of the seven Vinayagars of Maharastra State. Left Pune through CSTM Express and reached Chennai on 19-02-2010.

Points to be taken care of: 1. In Pune, accommodation in nominal rate with south Indian food is available in Pradosham Pooja Association, Plot No. 19, Sector 24, PCNTDA, Nigdi, Pune 44 (Telephone 27641626). Shri Sethuraman, Shri Hari devotees and volunteers render help to all those who come to Pune for Dharshan. 2. Transport arrangement: Mini Bus arranged through Wings Travels Ph. 997009821 and 9822601509 3. In Shridi Temple accommodation can be obtained in person and no advance booking is entertained. 4. In Ellora, numerous accommodations are available just at 2 KMs distance towards Ellora. Contact Details : (a) Milan Hotel 100% pure vegetarian. It is suggested to stay at Ellora and proceed to Ajanta through private transport. Food is very costly at the entrance point in Ajanta. Better go further for cheap and best food. Plenty of Drinking water is available near cave. No necessary to carry water bottle from the bottom of the hill. 6. Sani Signapure: Better to carry Dhotti (Saffron color) to worship lord Saneeswaran with "Oil". No Dhotti is required to enter and worship without "Oil".
