The planning for this trip began back in Novemeber of 2009. My wife's friend, Hilal, came to visit us from Oman for a month. Well, my wife's friend became my good friend too. So, I decided to make a month long visit to see him. Hilal currently works in Dubai so for the first week I'll be there. Then, we'll go to Oman for a few weeks to visit his family and visit some places around the country. It will be an interesting contrast - the modern and the old - 7 star hotels and desert camping - Michilian rated restaurants and feasting under the stars.
