Eastern Europe by train fall 2006, long detour to Dalmatian coast, winding up in Istanbul. On to India for a month tour. Resting in Bali before returning to further explore the Mediterranean area.

About this blog

Our task will be learning to live in the world, any place, day to day as gypsies. We sold our house, spent the summer logging hours of research, and shrunk our belongings to one suitcase each for the next nine months. It seemed easy in our 20's to sling a backpack on and hitch hike without expectations, "living in the now" a natural state of grace. But in our 50's and 60's we all know life is more complicated than that. Or is it? We are more crotchety and the world seems more fragile, but we will keep you posted.
