11 countries visited during 43 days. Travelled on the Eurorail Pass, including boat from Greece to Italy.

This was my first international trip with the woman that would become my wife. We had been on several day trips in the USA and as far as Montreal in Canada, but we hadn't spent a sustained period of time together travelling with each other day after day.

We couldn't know that this would start off a number of obsession's with the rest of our lives. This trip included the start of our Hard Rock for Life tour. But that's another blog. It also gave us the insight and knowledge that together would could tackle much of anything that was thrown our way. We had only been together for 7 months at the start of this trip. We loved, we fought, and we did quite a bit. Additionally, on this trip I was suffering from Lyme's Disease and had no idea. Couldn't understand why I seemed to have a perpetual flu and was always feeling a bit achy. Luckily it didn't ruin the trip.

Again as most of my earlier journaling I think it only best for me to copy verbatim what I had originally journaled in my handwritten journal. So all of the following was taken from there.
