10 months, possibly more, travelling with the wife, a camera and a whole load of gear which we probably won't need.

During the 10 months away we'll be doing volunteer work (in Borneo, the Perhentian Islands, Peru and the Galapagos), hiking in Borneo, Aus, NZ and Peru (to Machu Picchu), taking a Spanish language course and of course taking more than a few photos with my trusty, if somewhat battered, old Canon.

Hopefully my Spanish will have improved after 5m in South America and with luck there'll be a few pictures that turn out okay.

We head off in Singapore in Aug '10 and end up in Rio in Jun '11.

And then it's back to the UK...
