The Greater Makalali Private Game Reserve (Limpopo, South Africa) has a volunteer opportunity, Siyafunda Conservation Initiative, which has a big programme that includes the research of Spotted Hyena which I currently manage while I complete my qualification as a Field Guide (theory done, practical to follow).

I came to Siyafunda for the first time last year (see my last blog "The Latest African Adventure" and loved it so much I've stayed on and have the running quote that "they can't get rid of me." Every day is different out here, and so much different when compared to life back in Australia. There's nothing like the bushveld and you can't get any better!
