About this blog

My wife Annie and I aim to find Shalanki, the microscopic village in the Transcarpathians where grandpa Klein grew up. We'll go from Seattle to London, and after a week fly to Budapest. There we'll meet cousins Carole and Manfred and explore the city. From Budapest we'll drive to western Ukraine and see what we will see.

We'll return west through Hungary and Austria to Nurnberg, where Carole and Manfred live. After a few days in Germany we'll spend another day in London, then return home.

At least those are the plans.
