London to Beirut
About this blog
After a weekend in London with old friends, I will meet my brother Tim at Heathrow and head for Beirut, where we will stay with cousins Peter and Kathy at Marquand House, the AUB President's house built for our great great grandparents Abby and Daniel Bliss in the late 1800's. We will visit with other cousins as well, El and Rich and their family Betsy and Jason and grandchildren, and Peter and Kathy's Meg also visiting from England. It will be a trip of discovery and re-discovery, in that I last visited at the age of 8, and have many family haunts and things to see and do. This was the land where my father was born and grew up, where my mother went to school, where husband John's parents met - our roots are deep, and it is time to pay them a visit!
