My Experiences as a member of the United Methodist Volunteers In Mission (UMVIM) Spanish Language Learning Program in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala (aka Xela)
About this blog
Our group consists of twelve United Methodists from Va, Md, NC, Tx and Ga. The primary purpose of this trip is to study Spanish at the Sakribal Spanish School in Quetzaltenango. Secondary purposes will be to learn about Guatemala, to experience Guatemalan culture and to grow together as a small Christian community of faith. The watchword for this trip is FLEXIBLE.
We are to - Be FLEXIBLE; go with the flow - Be ready to adapt to changes - Expect the unexpected - Remember we are in God's hands and He can be trusted - Remember we are on a journey that will take us to destinations we did not anticipate, but that will provide a wondrous experience - Pray a lot - Be ready for how God works in our lives during these two weeks.
