About this blog

Able to somehow manage another month away from work, I have again been drawn to SE Asia. Why is SE Asia so attractive to me? The calm, reflective, respectful exterior..., encapsulating a completely chaotic culture. That's a start.

Although I prefer to have few plans, this trip will likely be an education of experience. In Bangkok, I anticipate taking advantage of recent contacts to better learn how Western natives work, live, and thrive in SE Asia culture. Should access to isolated Myanmar be in the cards, it will encompass an rustic exploration of the country Rudyard Kipling described as 'quite unlike any land you know about'.
