Wales, climbing Mt. Snowdon and the Cheese Rolling Festival in Gloucester.
About this blog
We drove to Llanberis in North Wales, our base for climbing Mt Snowdon. Quite a climb, at 3560 ft, it took about 2 hours to get up. At the bottom it was fairly warm and sunny but by the time we reached the summit it was freezing cold and totally surrounded by mist. Coming down was much more my scene! On the Monday of the bank holiday weekend we drove to Gloucester through the lovely Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons National Parks in Wales. The Cheese rolling was hilarious but a bit wierd, last year there were 7 broken legs! The guy that won this year was unconcious when he reached the bottom. They roll a 4kg piece of cheese down a very steep hill and the first person to reach the bottom after chasing the cheese wins! Interesting!
