Tangoing with Pokemon -- a single mom and her 9 year old daughter explore the wonders of Argentina
About this blog
Before I adopted my daughter in 1998, I was enthusiatic world traveler. When I became a mother, that pretty much ended. My safaris in Africa turned into trips to Disney's Animal Kingdom. The closest I was getting to China was a takeout restaurant.
But when my cousin called about a year ago and announced that her daughter would be getting married in Argentina, the temptation was too great to pass up. My daughter is now a well behaved and reasonably adaptable 9 year old (watch me eat my words in a few weeks), and I've never been to South America. So I cashed in my frequent flyer miles for tickets from San Francisco to Buenos Aires and planned what I hope will be a kid-friendly trip around Argentina. We'll see about that!
