This is the travelogue of an amazing trip I took to South Africa in January and February 2007. An overland trip starting in Johannesburg and ending in Cape Town - this was what I had decided would be my big six-oh! birthday present to myself. An old friend, who I had not seen for several years, joined me in Johannesburg for the trip of a life time. It was fantastic. Every day brought adventure and new insights as we explored South Africa.
