Our dream trip to the States has consumed my time for the past three months - booking flights, hiring rental cars, researching accommodation, researching things to do, booking hotels, more researching!

Have I planned a trip that will make me (mid-40s stay-at-home mum, TV addict), partner (late-40s dissatisified office worker), treasure number 1 (son aged 10) and treasure number 2 (daughter aged 8) ecstatically happy?

Will I have a peri-menopausal meltdown and scream that I need more space?

Will my children vomit on me as much as they did on our last world adventure (3 weeks in Bali)?

I just can't wait to find out!!
