Out on the Land

Back in January, as part of my work I travelled to Lutsel K'e (a Chipewyan name meaning: "place of the Lutsel", a type of small fish), a small community about 200 km almost due east of Yellowknife.

I was there to run a workshop as part of some legal work I was doing.

This entry touches on a few traditional activities: fishing, timber harvesting, trapping and caribou hunting...with the greatest emphasis on the last item, 'cause the bulk of my shots are of a hunt I went on.
