My Year in the Central Highlands of Vietnam: Thoughts and Experiences from the City of Love

About this blog

I don't consider myself a great adventurer or a worldly traveler by any means. But, I knew that if I didn't take this Fulbright Scholarship to Vietnam, I'd always look back and wonder about all the great experiences I would be passing up. So, came one of the most difficult decisions of my life: quit my new job at the NIH, leave my family and friends in the US, and book a one way ticket to Vietnam! So far, I have no regrets.

I am going to spend most of my time in Hanoi and Lam Dong Province where I will be working as an English Teaching Assistant at the Yersin University of Da Lat. This is a journal of my travels around Vietnam and of my thoughts as I begin to discover my new home for the next year.
