Meat, starch, beans, more meat, rice, plantains, ground meat, more starch, tripe, more meat. A visit to see where half of my roots call home & to learn to drink Aguardiente like my 98 year old auntie.
About this blog
My most recent visit to Colombia made me acutely aware of the fact that my family there is indeed every bit as interesting and surreal as any of the characters in a Gabriel Garcia Marquez novel. From Medellin to Bogota, by bus, this was a trip I will hope to repeat again soon.
Vegetarians- con cuidado. This is the land of meat. Lots and lots of meat.
