Our Summer Vacation

About this blog

Well, as most of you know, I am not very big into writing, but I am very much into traveling, and since I want to share our travels with you, I figured I would take a stab at one of these blogs. So, here is my first attempt. This summer we decided to take our first cruise. We didn't want it to be very long as we didn't know if we would like it or not, so we opted for a 4-day cruise out of Port Canaveral. The cruise took us to the Bahamas, specifically, Freeport and Nassau.

Since I told many of you that I would report back on what we thought of the cruise, here are my thoughts. We really enjoyed the Carnival cruise that we went on. We were on the Carnival Sensation. It is always nice when your meals, activities, and accommodations are all taken care of. The good thing about the cruise too, is that even if you are on a tight budget, there are excursions for every budget, or you can also choose to explore the ports on your own. We opted to snorkel and visit the aquarium at the Atlantis.

Snorkeling was so much fun and the Atlantis, well, it was amazing!! The hotel is awesome, and the aquarium tour was well worth it.

After we got back to Port Canaveral, we decided to stay a few days in Orlando and go to Disney World. We of course LOVE going to Disney, as we always have a great time, and of course, this was no exception. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom lodge, which was a bit of a splurge, but considering we were only staying two nights, we chose to do it. Let me just tell you that the hotel is amazing. They think of everything, and there are so many details that it makes it such a great experience, not just a hotel stay. The best part of the hotel was that there were animals right outside our window, just roaming the premises.

Overall, Ariel and I had a magnificent week! I hope you enjoy our pictures.
