We felt that 8 weeks in Nepal was definitely enough, and were a little fed up of being in the same country for such a long time, but what it did do was fuel our desire to see the rest of Asia, and that's pretty much what we are doing. In the space of about four and a half months Ross and I are planning on visiting China, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and India. It will be a trip full of lots of travelling, be it a 2 day bus journey or an hour long flight, witnessing a variety of cultures and (we are seriously excited for this) some really weird and wonderful cuisines (less rice hopefully)! We arrive in Beijing to temperatures of around -10 degrees and will finish in Mumbai at approximately 45 degrees (with amazing tan's hopefully)! Despite the disparity in climates, Ross (being the dictator that he is), has seriously restricted my baggage allowance :( but we have somehow managed to fit all our luggage into one big rucksack and a small holdall! After what seems like a life time in education, I think we thoroughly deserve a holiday - four months or so is arguably a bit extreme - but before we have to surrender to the rat race, we are going to make the most of being young, free and well, in a relationship!
