Tasmanian devils, poisonous snakes, annoying large parrots called Keas, grand snowy topped mountains and serene beaches, wild unpredictable weather, friendly Aussies and Kiwis, and no work for 6 weeks
About this blog
Starting our hiking adventure on the north island of NZ doing the Tongarriro Northern Circuit combined with the Round the Mountain tramp. Flying to Hobart to start the crazy South Coast Track combined with the Port Davey Track (we'll need an airplane food drop for this 11+ day hike!). Hanging out in Brisbane for a couple of days with friends before flying out to Christchurch to visit with more friends. And then likely tramping in Nelson Lakes area, the D'Urville Valley Track. And hopefuly have time to do a 4 mountain pass hike in Arthur's Pass National Park or some crazy combination of the Wilkin-Young Valleys circuit/Rees-Dart track/Cascade Saddle route!
