My mum is 85 and on her bucket list is the transalpine train trip so for her christmas present (all be it a tad late) we are taking her on the train. we booked the trip the day before the Christchurch earthquake so we have been waiting to see if we were still able to go. The train is up and running so we are off on this little adventure across the south island of new zealand.
