Exploring the Lusk Caves, Quebec
About this blog
Situated in the Gatineau Park near Philippe Lake, about 50KM north from Ottawa-Hull, the Lusk caves are large enough to be exciting, yet small enough that it would be somewhat difficult to get lost.
Starting from Parent Beach, the 10KM (return) walk along easy directed trails in the scenic forest takes approximately 4 hours.
Inside the caves, several routes can be taken all involving getting your feet wet but my favorite passage, getting you wet way up to your neck.
The Lusk caves are quite superb to explore being undeveloped marble caves.
Enjoy!
