Julie has to get a certain number of CE units every two years to maintain her DVM license. One way to get a bunch of credits at once it to attend a conference. This year, Julie has chosen a conference in Denver.

We decide to drive instead of fly. We'll make a stop in Lawrence, KS, to visit an old school friend of mine, then continue on to Estes Park, CO where we'll spend a few days in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Then we'll head to Denver, where Julie will attend her conference and I'll visit my brother in Aurora one day and go on a half-day mountain biking expedition the next. Then we'll drive back home.
