Hello readers... We had a wonderful trip to Morocco. It was surprisingly cold in Marrakech but warmed up slowly over the 14 days we were there. We caught the train from Casablanca to Marrakech. Stayed in Riad Jona and then hired a car and travelled south to the Sahara doing approx. 1100 km. The Marrakech shopping was great fun and we found the vendors less aggressive than on the tourist trails of Egypt like Aswan and Luxor. The countryside is absolutely stunning. The Kasbah Itran was a spectacular location and a great place to stay. Exploring the valley below the Kasbah was great fun and there were no tourists (except us!).
