About this blog
Only 3 months since our last International trip and we have already settled back into a routine at home. Time and money rarely meet, but the chance that we could both be away from work and knock another must see destination off our list has already arisen. We start the drive North East on Oct. 18th (my 36th Bday) to Churchill, Manitoba. A coastal village in the North of Canada on the mighty Hudson's Bay, second largest bay in the world! Part of the North Atlantic Ocean, explored by Henry Hudson in 1610 aboard the ship Discovery until ice flows left him and crew stranded. Sparsley populated, the area is historically know for the trading ventures and the creation of the Hudson Bay Company (HBC). Churchill is now coined 'Polar Bear Capitol of the World', and we are joining the growing tourist industry to witness the autumn movement of the polar bears from inland to the shores.
