Mikeandwendy2's - Peru Adventure
About this blog
Mike and I are off travelling around Peru for a month with our backpacks in our typical fashion of staying in relatively cheap but clean places, avoiding the dorms where possible. Although many are called hostels, I would classify many as B&B type places. I think the average price of accommodation will be about $25-35/night for the two of us. Our transport will be mostly by plane, train and bus. Some of the highlights will be: * Hike the 4 day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu * Visit Lake Titicaca * Hike around the Colca Canyon, the second highest canyon in the world * Fly over the Nazca Lines * Sandboarding in Ica on the desert dunes * Dinner at Astrid y Gaston (rated #42 in the World) * Train ride to Huancayo (Highest passenger train in the world at 15,881 feet) * Chavin de Huantar UNESCO World Heritage Site --- Come back and see our updates. ***Mike and Wendy***
