It's quite difficult finding good sushi on Tortola. The Royal BVI Yacht Club has a Sushi Night each Thursday and it's okay. The Dove Restaurant in Road Town has a sush sampler on its menu and this is better. So, I was very pleased to hear that Sky Restaurant had employed a Japanese sushi chef and was producing the stuff six nights a week.
A group of us decided to celebrate a birthday there but I have to say that the whole evening was completely soured by the downright rude and obnoxious host/owner, a Scot called Alan. I believe he thinks he is funny - he is not. This man needs to embark on a crash course in customer service and manners. He also needs to smarten both himself and his restaurant up. I shall need to find a very, very good reason to make a return visit which is a shame, because I'm certain that he would have done well.
