About this blog

This year, my summer abroad will lead me into the Middle East. I begin in the Promised Land, Israel. There I plan to follow the steps of Jesus, float in the Dead Sea, soak up the rays on the Mediterranean coast, and consume as much hummus as humanly possible.

Next I'll play Indiana Jones and explore the red city of Petra, Jordan. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Petra is known as an amazingly beautiful city and a great place to explore.

Finally, my path leads way to the incredible country of Egypt, which I've dreamed of visiting all my life. Hieroglyphics, pyramids, camel riding, a trip down (or up..?) the Nile, and diving the Red Sea...what more can a girl ask for?

The trip promises to be part pilgrimage, part history lesson, and part hedonism. Stay tuned for tales from the road...
