Life is one long Gap Year
About this blog
Ironically, I'll be starting my travels in a land far, far from home. Infact, it's 18950km as the crow flies, which is no small distance (and figuratively speaking, it's highly doubtful the crow would ever make it).
I'm from the UK, but having been transient for the last several years, I haven't managed to stay in one country for longer than a year. I've followed countless ski seasons (...5 actually!) which have seen me reach some stunning corners of the globe.
In May 2009, I left the UK for New Zealand to ski on the South Island, which is the very reason I now find myself so far from home. I've been living in Queenstown (adventure capital of NZ, the southern hemisphere and quite possibly ...the world) and have loved every minute of it.
Reluctantly, It is now time for me to move on.
***My trip will start off as a self-drive experience taking in the sights of New Zealand. My trip won't officially start until March 2010, so any entries between now and then are petit excursions.
